That some months my breasts swell and other months they don't? I had today (day 22) a curdled brown discharge (bleed) so I guess it is my period starting but no swollen breasts this month that is normally the clue that I am due.
Anyone else ever have this strange looking brown blood before the period starts. Real curdled and strange looking. I know my stress level was ata peak this month but I never started out quite this way before.

Girlsmom, You'll find references to the "brown gunk" all through this board...it is very, very common during the peri-meno years. Sometimes it's at the beginning or the end of a period and sometimes if it's at the end, it seems to "dribble" on endlessly, so don't be alarmed if that should happen. I also had the brown stuff last month. And re breasts, mine used to ALWAYS get sore just before my period, but that hasn't been happening lately. In fact, before this last period, I had zero pre-period symptoms, just the moment the period started I started having cramps. Peri really keeps you (forces you !) on your toes.
