moonlight
anyone??
TeeJay
Moonlight,

I get the night sweats but typically they are just enough to make my pajama bottoms cling to me, however, in some instances I have been able to run my hand down my leg and actually see and feel the sweat. I don't know if it's as much as you are discribing but I have had a few friends talk about how drenched they are at night. I have one friend who says she spends most of the night dressing and undressing because her temp is fluctuation so much. I hope this helps!

Moonlight,

I have had the nightsweats you are talking about, not so much now because I am on numerous supplements and bioidentical estradiol and progesterone but when I experienced this, I had to change my pajamas (top and bottom) and sometimes my blanket would be damp also. I would get so
cold afterwards (shivering)...so yes, it does happen.

Yes moonlight- that has happened to me. I find if I avoid sugar they lessen. It IS scary!! Hang in there!! Make sure to drink lots of water in the daytime to replenish the lost fluids. Things will level out eventually.

I had night sweats last night, but only my thighs from my knees to my groins were dripping wet.

I have just finished with 5 nights of night sweats and no sleep. Tossing and turnin', covers on, covers off, crank the fan up, get up and drink cold glass of water and go back to bed, get up to pee, and repeat all night long. I'm getting a little slap happy from lack of sleep. blink.gif The night sweat thing is usually worse right before my period. Ooooh, when will these periods and sweats ever end! I'm 51...real close to 52. I took the soy products for several years and all it EVER did for me was give me gas. wink.gif I tried the soy drinks, pills, powders, beans & bars. I had enough gas power in me to sail a ship. I had to give the soy up. I guess I'll just have to sweat this peri thing out and hope meno and post meno is better! Has anyone had any success with the chillow pillow or those wicking jammies to help keep you cooler at night??

Hi gals! Long time no post....I am getting night sweats more often and they are much more intense in the past couple of months. Update...I turned 50 in November and I have recently celebrated my one year anniversary without a period (April 2007). I experience the pool of sweat between my breasts too...and the other night the bed was drenched from my night sweats. I get at least two a night...sometimes I wake with one and have gotten one after I wake and am getting on the treadmill to workout (5:00 a.m). That is not fun, cause the last thing I want to do is sweat before I work up a sweat...makes me feel kind of sick.

I wonder too, if the hot flash pj's work for any of you and if so, what brand did you buy? I have been looking online and have no idea if I should get some.

Thanks!
