I've always had pain with my ovulation to the point that I couldn't even sit down it hurt so bad. Lately I have have bad nausea, exhausted with cramps that last for almost 3 days. Is this part of peri? It seems like the only time I feel good is when I have my period.
Funniest part about all of this is that now I am reaching peri and my oldest Daughter just got her first period! Go figure!
With the ovulation I can have 3 days of the *jelly* discharge. Isn't 3 days a little long?!?

I had pain so bad I couldn't stand up - just sat and sweated bullets. Was negative for cysts (ultrasound scan, dead easy) but my obi-wan-gynobee said the ovary was twisted and the pain was caused when the follicle tried to break free. He removed one, and left one. I'm grateful he did. It was done by a teeny incision in the naval. No scars, day surgery. 1 stitch.

For the past year, I've had light brown spotting with ovulation, cramping, and a migraine. NEVER fail. Every damn month. It's like having a 'preview' torture period every month before the 'real thing'. Why not? Everything ELSE is going screwy these days!!! sad.gif blink.gif

HUGS!

P.S. DUCH! obi-wan-gynobee??? ROTFLMBO BIG TIME!

Hi Girlsmom,
I too get the awful pain with ovulation, sometimes so bad I cry. Advil or Aleve have usually helped. It seems like for the past year that ovulation has been lasting for me for a whole week, pain, bloated, discharge, etc..., then I feel like crap until I get my period. Then a few good days and the cycle begins again. Are we having fun yet? haha blink.gif [

Oh my goodness, my ovulation cramps are even worse than pms!!! It began about 6 months ago but seems to be getting worse each month. This week seems to be the worst so far....so much cramping and my breasts are so sore! I've never experienced the sore breasts so I'm in agony! Any suggestions?

Wow Ladies! I am not alone. I am sorry for all your pain but it does ease mine to know that the period cramping seems to start and not let up till my cycle! Today is better...still crampy and my intestines are still twisting (finally found out from a Dr. that the intestinal track is very hormone sensative, hence the constipation at ovulation). Don't even feel nauseas today. Looks like it may be a good day today :0)
Thanks so much for your words of experience.
I've been saved again LOL!
Have a great day Ladies,
Heather

I'm really glad I found this sight. It's all because of feeling dizzy, but wrong topic.

I can tell which side I'm ovulating on each month. The last few months have been horrible. I have a dermoid cyst in my left ovary and it HURT really bad a few months back. Then, I have a pain/tenderness in my right breast starting right after that, so for about 2 weeks until I get my period.

I'm seeing a new gyn next month. She's supposed to be more into dealing with hormone levels, estrogen dominance, things like that. I'm hoping she can straighten things out a bit.

I'm glad I'm not alone. It makes me feel less crazy!

I posted somewhere back that ovulation is becoming worse than pms lately. Although my period is due anyday and I feel like crap now too, so I have to rethink that one...Anyway I have had severe pain when I ovulate for about 20 yr's every mo. Back at it's worse I couldn't sit, going to the bathroom hurt, just about anything that put pressure in that area sent me flying. it is always on my right side, I know this is odd because I hear you alternate side every mo., but it is always the right. I do get cysts on my R. ovary often.

lately the pain isn't as bad as it has been in the past, toned down quit a bit, but it drags on and on. My periodshave become irregular so I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Like this last mo. I figured it went on for almost a week. Called the Dr. the day before it stopped because I was wondering of course if something else was going on. It seem now I exchanged some of the pain for palp's, nausea, tired, some oft he peri symptom get elavated now through this time...I don't know which is worse. For couple of mo. lately I didn't feel anything...my period showed up 8 days after the last one ended. HUGS Mikki

Sunflower, I also only feel it on my right side!?! About 4x a year ir incapacitates me with pain. I know just what you mean about the pain of pressure.
