hello,
I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what would help with dizzyness. it is getting so bad I am suprised I haven't fallen over yet...daily. My ears feel plugged also daily. I am afraid to be alone for this or drive anywhere. I can't find anything to help. I had an MRI an it was normal, it gets really bad when I get warm or should I say HOT. Mikki

Hi Mikki

I wish I had some answer for you. I just found this site and I have basically the same dizzy stuff. I realized last week after I walked in the park for an hour with my friend and our dogs I started off feeling pretty good but by the time we were a block from my house my dizziness got worse and worse. I was wearing a hat and my head was real hot. For me my dizziness is when I am walking like I am on a plane or boat but I don't feel sick to my stomach.

I saw someone post that there is an estrogen receptor in the inner ear I am going to start researching this. If I find anything out I'll let you know. I am going for an MRI on Monday just to rule everything out.

Take Care huh.gif

Sunflower, my doctor gave me a medication to help with the dizziness and that off balance feeling. But I never tried it after reading the side effects. If you like I could dig it out and give you the name, (I throw it into my own private drug store basket).

Thanks but I don't think this is the answer either.

Mikki, I think the reason i've been dizzy, light headed, woozy on and off for 6 years has now been revealed to me thru my hormone testing - estrogen dominance suppossedly puts more water in the cells and gives the brain a groggy fuzzy feeling. Progesterone is a natural diuretic that my testing revealed i have only .6 mg of. I had every balance disorder test you could have and they gave me meclizine which i use from time to time - it's an antihistimine that dries up the fuzz sometimes in my case. Have you had your hormones tested? I just started natural progesterone creme and i'll knock on wood, but it's been my first day of non fuzziness in 2 months.

Hi I am confused is this your first non fuzziness day in 2 months becasue of the natural progesterone creme or casue of the meclizine? Does the meclizine help you? Are there any side affects?

Thanks!!!

Come to think of it, I too, have not had as much dizziness since I started using the natural progestrin cream. Hmmm...

Thanks,
I have started to use the pro-gest again about a mo. now with phytoestrogen cream started that about 2 weeks ago. I have been using a mega multi, flaxseed and soy. I have the bio's, but wanted to give one last chance the other way. Things are a bit better I have noticed I'm not as clouded and fuzzy. I really notice the dizzy feeling with hotflashes which I'm still getting everyday. My face just starts to burn, chest turns red and I have a new name for myself... ruhdolf( spelling on that one is way off)my nose just is like a cherry tomato on the end of my face.

My hormones were tested a few weeks ago my prog. was 1.4,....estrodial was 32 and fsh 17.5. All fell within normal range....for who is what I'm wondering a man.

Anyway I appreciate the feedback, it was better over the weekend and now this morning I am hot and spacey, and off balance again. HUGS to all Mikki

To clarify meclizine usually does clear up my fuzziness as it's an antihistimine maybe a tiny bit of tiredness as a side effect. I assume natural progesterone cream being a diuretic also releases water from the cells in my estrogen dominant brain, also making me less fuzzy. But alas, I think it's making me too sleepy. I need to really lower the dose and only take it at night - it's 750 mg cream which I guess is very strong.
