Hi ladies,

Well, the inevitable happened, I woke up this morning, with a vein I had never seen before sort of popped out right on top of the knee (on my ever famous RIGHT leg, darn it!!..see the entire stupid story under VERICOSE VEINS POST) but a little to the outsdie of the knee, and it was aching. I also noticed that my right leg was slightly redder than my left leg, and that beside THAT new vein showing, there was yet ANOTHER one that was now visible on the outside of that same knee! OK, so now I panic, because since all this insanity has been happening to me on my RIGHt leg for the past two weeks, I've read up big time on all sorts of blood clots, vericose veins, and DVT...I mean, I could write the boook on this now!..lol .. so, I panicked, grabbed my husband and out we ran, to the ER. I had called my dr. who said he'd meet me there.

On the ride to the hosp. I could feel my RIGHT leg get "weird" and tingly and who knows what, and I was POSITIVE this was DVT! I didn't really have all the signs of this, but I was positive SOMETHING was definaltey wrong here. (especially with that nice black and blue mark appearing on my vericose vein on my calf the other day, and DEAREST, thank you so much for your help, believe me, it DID help!!!) .... when we got there, I was in such a state of panic, I thought I was going to faint, you should have seen the look on the faces of these two male nurses..lol ... well, here we go, back to one of the rooms, and into one of those LOVLEY OPEN gowns, i just love those! I explain all this to this very nice nurse, and ok, now wait for my dr. to arrive....holy cow, in the meantime, I'm thinking I"m going to DIE! Another dr. stopped to see me, and I explained the whole thing to him too, and he didn't really seem to alarmed. OK, finally, my dr. gets there. He comes in, checks out my leg, feels ALL the veins in the leg, the vericose veins too..I showed him the balck and blue, and told him EVERY SINGLE detail about the last two weeks....well, he basically said:

HORMONES AND THYROID! DEAR GOD! NOT AGAIN!

he explained to me that at this point in my life (he's pretty good about dealing with peri and hormones) the hormones are going to go balistic and that they can definatley cause this! WOW! then he said told he wanted to do a thyroid work up since that can also cause all this with the veins and leg pain.....GEEZ! So, back to my clothes, and home. This has been another wonderful experience due to peri ... well, and heredity, because my mom and grandmother also had vericose veins, and I remember my grandmother sitting there massaging her leg. Oh, and more wonderful news, he said, this will only get worse! Yeah, I just thought I'd share that wonderful piece of news with all of you...lol

Well, that's it, I'm home, I took a xanax, and I'm down for the count.....SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace ladies..........mydarling
