Hi again,
I feel like a big pest lately. Just curious if anyone knows the "normal" ranges of hormones for women in general. I hhad mine tested as seen in my last post. I called to get the exact #'s so I could see what they were considering normal. I know there are no DR's here, but if you could tell me a ball park figure. I found a web site that gave some figures and I am sitting right on the edge of them all...here are my 3's if anyone has info...fsh 17.5 ( 6 mo. ago it was 3.2) estriol 32.....progesterone 1.34.....testos. 18. I am litterally having one flash afetr another, My face is sooo hot, like I rubbed it with sandpaper burning, then within a few min I am shaking freezing, to hot again. Really on top of another like this. I am so dizzy and palp's included. I periods are really off not sure when to expect the next one. I'm coming unglued sad.gif Mikki

Hi Mikki,
The best info I've found on hormone levels is in Dr. Elizabeth Vliet's book "It's My Ovaries Stupid". I don't know what Estriol is suppose to be,it's not as important as estradiol, estradiol should be at least 80 for bone and cardiovascular health, but that's on the lower scale. FSH above 20 is considered high, so it seems like yours is creeping up, testosterone should be 40 to 60. It also matters when in your cycle tests were done. They should take blood on day 1 to 3 and then retest on day 20 of your cycle. Your progesterone seems OK if it was the first half of your cycle, but after ovualtion should be 5 to 25. I guess it's hard to know where you are in your cycle if your periods are off, but just figure the best you can. It sounds like you're well into peri heading to meno. But who knows how long before you're there? Wouldn't it be nice if we could just know how long we had to be like this? I just hate it! I never know how I'm going to feel, and it usually all seems to hit when I'm out, at the store or wherever. This is definately not fun, I know. Hang in there, I hope this helped. Try to get the book if you can, it's got so much good info.

I'm sorry it was estradiol that was 32...they all sound the same to me and I take pro-gest in cream form so maybe that is why that seemed normal. the tests was taken on the 3rd day of my second cycle last mo. ( just by chance) thanks Mikki

Blood tests were good timing. Estradiol is low according to the book. I wish I could afford to go to her clinic and get hormones straightened out. Oh well, only in my dreams. rolleyes.gif Hang in there. I keep hearing it will get better. I can't wait.
God Bless,
Faith
