Hi I am pretty fed up today, My second period this month, i had my first one 2nd December finally finished the 10th, back on again 26th December and still on now, my husband says, he is going to ring the manufacturers and see if we can buy wholesale at this rate, I have my period more a month than I am off, I am so glad we can laugh about it, I was always so regular, now my body has gone mad.
I am getting anxious over nothing and believe me I know what anxiety is like I have been a sufferer all my life with it and agoraphobia, now I get anxious for nothing.
My skin is so dry in places I call it chicken skin i do have a tip though I use aftersun on it and it really has helped,
Sometimes its no fun being female, I am 39 in January and this xmas went like a blur, I cant rememebr any build up to it, then it was gone and finished, roll on nextyear maybe I will be normal again.
The light floaty head I suffer with I am begining to live with it, thank god, I found myself turning into a self diagnosing Doctor, and yes I had all the orrible illnesses i was checking on the health websites, like I was paranoid, a little voice in my head saying go on you know you want to. then when i self diagnosed myself, I was so anxious I couldnt sleep. I am getting almost laughable,
What other things am I going to be doing as this is not me, who do we turn into during this time.
I am so glad I havent lost my sense of humour yet.....

Hi, like you I have had 2 periods in a month but on the other hand, I have skipped a month alltogether! I am 49 years old and just HATE
sorry -- HATE going thru all these abnormal feelings, thinking there is something seriously wrong with me, thinking I have a strange disease every time I turn around, looking up all my symptoms on the internet (bad thing to do) and diagnosing myself (yes, I have also become a doctor as well). This person is NOT who I am for I have lost the "real" me and wish she would come back because this stuff is for the birds! Thank goodness for this website, it has saved me many times from going INSANE!

I will be 39 in Feb. and got my first double period in mo. of (Dec.) 1st. started on the 8-16 or so an then started a FULL PERIOD again on the 26-31 . Both were very heavy. I felt awful prior and still do. I am sooooo dizzy at times I have trouble walking and palp's increased. I am scared. I was at the dr's on fri. so I am waiting my hormone panel results... 1st taken. no you don't get a period this close together because all is fine with hormones. My lower back pain right now is horrible and I'm not sure where that is coming from I can barely bend over. She said 39 was bit young for the periods to be erratic, but we are all different. I have been having hot flashes and night sweats since july my symptoms that I have been feeling over the past 2 yr's are higher than ever. HUGS Mikki

Hi Girls,
My first double period year was when I was 39 too, is it the magic age for this start to our next phase in life I wonder?
I'm 42 now and they seem to have regulated with HRT usage, but they are lighter, now, Sorry to say in between whilst they got regular they then got heavy as you like with clots of stuff like chopped liver to boot.
Add to this at least half of the 34 signs of menopause and life really has gotten rough.
I really do feel for you all and wish you a peaceful ride along this peri journey.

My Dr thought the same I was a bit young its nice to see someone my age going through the same, i had the tests done in the summer and as border line several months later and i am hitting it big time, the stomach cramps i am getting keep me awake, I had them today which worried me as I only finished my last period a day ago, luckily its gone of again. so fingers crossed.
The tiredness I hate I hardly do anything any more, and am more tired than i have ever been. I get the palps on and off i can go days nothing then out of the blue they start. i try to ignore it hard i know but, my anxiety goes of on its own without adding anymore to it, I hope we dont get years of this like some posts on here, I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed I miss feeling normal already.
I hope all goes well with your test

Hey ladies! Yeah, I know it's been a REAL long time since I have posted anything. We started homeschooling so I've been a bit busy! Anyway, I had to write when I read the post about having two periods in one month. I soooo know what you are going through!! I was a bit younger, 35, when it happened to me. It was in the fall. I started off with two heavy periods in Sep., I skipped Oct. all together and then in Nov. I had two periods again. Then I skipped Dec. and again had two heavy periods in Jan.!! I thought, great I get the pattern, I'm going to skip Feb. But I didn't, I had just one normal period in Feb. After that my periods have been normal. It wasn't untill several months later that I discovered that my periods became regular again when I started taking the suplament called DIM-plus. DIM stands for Diindolylmethane, it is an estrogen metaboliser (sp?

). Anyway, it works great and it also helps with my complection. You can get it in any health food store, not too expensive either. Hope this helps someone.

I too have had 2 periods in one month. It has happened a few times this past year (2006). Now I haven't had a period since November 8. I am 46. I still get nervous when I skip a period or two as I always think I am pregnant but the tests are always negative. Plus, my husband had a vastectomy (spelling?) I think we are so used ot our periods being normal and then when peri hits, it can really freak us out.

I have had two periods in a month quite a few times. But I haven't had a period at all since November 6th, and I am glad not to be bleeding for once. I just wish I felt well enough to enjoy being free from the bleeding...the peri symptoms have gotten worse since I skipped a period. I am 50 and I am praying that maybe I am on the downhill side of peri and can start skipping lots more periods until I am through with this crap...I want to feel NORMAL again.
