OK...here we go again. It looks like some of you really got motivated last week and got moving. That is all that is expected...just get moving.

I am going to stick with exercising at least 5 times this week with at least 200 crunches a day.

The first 2 days are already taken care of because I am teaching. I was working all weekend on a mind and body class to sub for the first time tomorrow. I enjoyed doing the video...I felt so good after it. It is a combination of pilates and yoga type moves with stretching. I think I found something else I like to do. I am so stretched out. I will let you know how teaching it for the first time goes. I may flop, but hey, I tried. It "ain't" easy to teach an old dog new tricks.

Well...let me know what you plan to do and how you are doing this week.

We can do it!! Remember, it is for you!!

O.K. I'm ready to go this week. Already ate a healthy breakfast and had a good 20 minutes on the bike. My knee's better on the bike.

It's a little easier to breath, although my body is aching with every move. Still withdrawing I guess. I also cut down on caffeine ALOT so that might be some of the aches and pains.

I've been exercising on and off for years, but I was also smoking. Maybe that's why it's been on and off. This is feeling right and if I ever ever go back to smoking, somebody should just shoot me and get it over with!!!

Don't let me forget I said that!                        :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocke

Hey, Chris...I will definitely remember you said that. But deep down you know it is working. You could be going through caffeine withdrawal too. Don't take on too much as once. Glad the knee is feeling better.

Got my exercise in today and the classes really went well. I am teaching 2 classes again tomorrow. Good start to this week.

Hope to hear from more of you!!

Anyone know if riding my bike is as good as walking? should I try to do both? Seems I can ride my exercise bike , but my calf hurts when I walk . wonder why that is. hugs, jeanne

Hi Jeanne...  I have been told by the doctor and physical therapist that riding the stationary bike is as good as walking, as long as it is done for at least 20 minutes continuously a day.  The reason I think your calf hurts when you walk is that walking is a weight bearing exercise, and the bike riding is not.  I have a problem with walking because of osteoarthritis in my knees, and riding the bike actually helps my legs feel better.

Jeanne,

I have heard of pain in walking connected with circulation in your legs...Your doctor can check it out I think.   May not be that but wouldn't hurt.

Vicki's right Jeanne. Bike riding is just as good and actually helps the knees. I have to find the right amount of exercise though. If I don't do enough, I crack and get stiff, or if I do too much, I crack and swell. A pain in the a**! Still, when I get it right, I can feel the improvement and strength in my knee. Usually that's about 20-30 minutes on the bike, daily.

This morning I am sitting here telling myself I have got to go do it. And that's really the true motivation. I don't have a choice. I'm really good at excuses, so telling myself I have no choice is helping me to not come up with excuses. Does that make any sense?

Ugggggggggggggggggggg!                  mad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifmad.gifI am heading out the door right now. I will post again when I get back.  Now I am making it almost impossible to get out of this, aren't I.

Procrastinating?:shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:Who me?

Hugs Y'all,Chris

Thanks gals,Glad to know that Vicki, I sure enjoy it riding that thing above the other exercises.I just put on my favorite music and pedal away :)And Nancy, that makes sense. Seeing that I had a stroke and a heart attack, I', sure none of my circulation is in great shape yet, but I'm working on it . Hopefully I can reverse it at least a little. I wonder if that's possible? I hope so. Grace you never flop! hugs, jeanne:)
jeanne
Tex , If you think of a really good excuse let me know . I've been running out of them lately

Hugs, jeanne
