Has anyone taken synthetic hormones and not get any relief from symptoms?

Hiya, yes me.

To start with, two years ago I did feel better, they stopped me feeling crabby and less anxious. I did not get Hot Flushes much and just woke up a lot at night, not with sweats etc, just woke a lot, but as pay back whilst beforehand I did have odd irregular bleeds I now had spotting and unregular bleeds the whole time. Then after about a year the anxiety returned and so did sleep troubles,bad dreams and also the wobbly legs, shakey feelings etc you read about on this site, still no flushes though etc. I tried 3 lots of HRT, lesser doses each time, not with any real change to anything.

Now I am on the progesterone mini pill, have only been for 18 days and my period has just come when it was supposed to and now I am waiting to see if the other spotting/bleeds are going to stop to.

Coinciding with the change to the mini pill being prescribed but not taken, I had to finish the cycle of HRT I was on, I found Power surge. It seems since then I am so much better, I am calmer and less weird feeling. I have had in the last week near to period a couple of flushes and also sleep was disturbed but only one wake up a night it seems and last night I got a straight eight, fab! I am not sure which is helping more, the mini pill or Power surge or both, either way I am feeling more chipper than I have in ages and hope it continues.

Had to update this - since last writing I then proceeded to have a horrible time on the mini pill. Anxiety and hyper ventilating and lots of scarey stuff. Anemia too a bit from bleeding so long!

My Doctor said to try a fourth HRT at a much lower does and I am on the second cycle now. I do feel a lot better than I have done now for a long time.

I get the odd nauseous day, the odd anxious day and the odd fuzzy day but I am having more better days than bad days currently so am hoping it is because they got the dose correct.

That said I have missed a period and I should not on the combined HRT I have and my second period is late so I am starting to worry about this. I have just posted on the Bleeding forum to see if anyone esle has experienced this as well.
