Does anyone ever get the woosie feeling from the motion on a TV? Every once in a while I seem to get that lightheaded/woosie/motion feeling while things are moving on the screen really fast.
I'm 39, been going through this since April. My biggest complaints are woosie/dizzy/tilted feeling, head pressure, and insomnia.
Thanks for your responses.

Hi Lucent,
I can't say I get that feeling while watching TV, but woozie--dizzy---lightheaded---off balance---tilted WOW!!!! that describes my worst symptoms of this journey. Do you remember signing up for this club? cause I sure don't. You take care. It sure stinks to get older doesn't it?

Lucent,
I have suffered from migraines for the last 5 years, which I now believe to have been the first of my peri symptoms. I often get that detached/ woozie feeling you describe when my brain cannot keep up with its visual input. This is exacerbated by watching TV, leaves moving on a tree whilst looking through a window (brain confused by having stationary & moving image at once) & areas of high contrast (light/next to dark shadows). I often get this feeling but no headache or zigzag aura as such, and it can last for days/ weeks. I used to think it part of my migraines, now I don't know whether to call it Peri or both!! It did start at the same time as my headache migraines though - never had either symptom before! I guess it's all linked!

Wow, I'm in this club too! Amazing how many things I have/had that all seem to be part of the peri/post meno club. Years ago I just thought I had some horrible disease or incureable something or other. Now I look back and realize that it could have all been hormone related!
I have had inner ear issues for years. I have the same motion problems with TV. How about busy wallpaper?? Ever go into a small room, say a doctor's office and feel like the wallpaper was moving??? Sounds crazy but it happens. It used to be that I couldn't walk on my treadmill cause when I'd get off I'd feel like I was still moving so my balance would be off. I've always had allergy problems and I've read that those can also be a cause for some of that. It can make you anxious and fearful. Yep been there and done that ALOT!

Me too!!
Especially if there are boats involved. It's like watching them go up and down gives you motion sickness even though you are static.
Watching fast flickering images causes it too - I'm peri so have put it down to that, have allergies too and ear wax that sticks so that can effect me sometimes.
Ain't getting older grand?

Actually, I think what your talking about is pretty common. I've had this very thing since I was young. I always have to look away when things flash by on tv or movie screens in super speed or they do like, not sure how to describe it, I guess like a real fast collage of pictures. It's almost like a form of motion sickness. My mom had it too. She explained it to me but thru the years and good ole brain fog I can't remember all she had to say about it. Shelley
