sudio1,
I have those too, but I don't have Hasimoto according to multiple blood tests. I discovered one nodule 3 years ago just by looking in the mirror, it sort of popped overnight. So, I panicked and went to get it checked. They did FNA (fine needle aspiration) that showed it was a fluid filled cyst, tthey drained it , but it filled up again. Then I had ultrasound that showed I have other tiny nodules as well. I was told that multiple nodules rarely turned malignant, but they monitor it, and the largest one ( 0.5 cm) did not increase since then. I had so much death anxiety when the peri started, it was runing me down, finally, I am somewhat over it, at least, until a new issue will arise, LOL.
Take care,
I.

My girlfriend likewise was diagnosed with thyroid nodules and her doctor has adopted a "wait and see" attitude. I guess in most instances, nothing happens.

Hi,

I was told in Jan that I have thyroid nodules. They were too small even to biopsy, so I'm on a wait and see timeline too. My GP told me that even if they were cancer that thyroid cancer grows soooooooo slowly that it would take years to manifest and that thyroid cancers are contained in the thyroid. All they do is take your thyroid out. So she was somewhat reassuring.

I went to an endocrinologist in Apr and he ultra-sounded them and explained the pictures to me, sort of. He wasn't worried and didn't even mention cancer. It's time for me to go back again and get another one and I'm a little apprehensive, but not worried about the outcome.
