Okay ladies I have a question...............

Does anyone have worse night sweats during your period time? My night sweats are realllllly bad when "Aunt Flow" is around.

I get them sporadically during the month, but not quite as bad. Are there any effective remedies for these darn night sweats? I have tried the Revival Soy Dearest recommends, but it upsets my tummy. Any other ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Need to change atleast twice the night or 2 before my period.
Just another hormone game I suppose.
My sister-in-law and I were just talking about it the other day. She gets it too.

Your estrogen & progesterone are at their all time monthly low during the days just before and first few days during your period. I would think that would likely make your symptoms worse over those days.

Yes! I had a doozy night sweat last night. The worst ever. I was freezing and then sweating and had the ceiling fan on me with the bedroom temp around 60 degrees. The bottom sheet was soaked. I slept uncovered most of the night. I am anywhere from 3-4 days out from starting my period although I'm already spotting...

The only good news is that I think I had all my hot flashes with that one long night sweat, because I haven't had any hot flashes today, yet--and usually I'll have one really good one in the a.m.

Used to be that breast tenderness signaled the approach of my cycles, and lasted through the first couple days of my period. Now, I no longer get breast tenderness at all and instead get hot flashes and night sweats leading up to, and then for the first couple days of, my period. I'm sure this has to do with hormones, but I have no idea whether it means I'm short of e, or p, or both. I read somewhere that estrogen causes breast tenderness, so maybe a decrease in breast tenderness means a decrease in estrogen. I rarely have hot flashes or night sweats except for around my period, but I'm sure that will change as time goes on.

I get cold flashes a few days before and now, lucky me, I get day sweats the day off and the day after it seems. No real night sweats though at this point although I had them at around 40. I'm sure that they'll come back. It's all very weird.

Hi Horsinaround, you are so much like me, or I like you. I had shockers in my 40's-45'ish, and then the night ones stopped. BUT, the other night, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr mad.gif They got to me and made me feel So hot I wanted to jump outside nekkid. ohmy.gif But last night I slept quite well, and just woke up warm. But the chills are bad for me too, so I do sleep under like two quilts and a woolen blanket, and then complain about flashing laugh.gif . I then throw them off in the night, and somehow wake up freezing and put them on again. Buried under all that weight. See? I am nuts. unsure.gif

AF Time is always not nice, but the other night was a taste of the end me thinks. I do not like it, and am not impressed. blink.gif

My hot flashes start getting annoying around ovulation and intensify to their worst at period time. The poor cats get tossed off the bed when I throw the covers off in the night! Glad I am not the only one who experiences this!
