Hi to all,
Just curious about this. I have read several times that when women start flashing it usually indicates periods will come to an end within a couple of yr's. I have started to have dibilitating hot flashes about 3 mo. ago, now I have had warm feelings for a couple of yr's, but this is different it is everyday for hr's and it is so intense my heart palp's and I feel dizzy and so, so HOT...didn't know what was happening, never thought that would be a hot flash and that it wold disrupt my life so much. My periods have also become very brief alonf with the flashes...I am miserable, but in the same sense happy because of everything I have read about what hot flashes mean. I know my mother said she still gets them every now and then pretty rare though...she says she just feels a little warm not the intense heat as in the beginning and she is well past menopause. If you any thoughts or your experience I would love to hear it ( i am almost afraid to ask this because like i said I feel happy to a certain degree that I may be in the grand finale so to speak) HUGS mikki

I sure hope hot flashes indicate the end is near! They were my first and most obvious key that I was in peri. Actually, I missed a period and promptly went out and bought a preg test, even though dh had an vasectomy. You never know. Of course, it was negative, and I started a few days later. Then started the hot flashes. Horrible. I couldn't sleep. I found this forum, and then found out about Revival Soy. Both have been wonderful.

The forum because of the fantastic support you get, and the Revival because it is actually stopping my hot flashes. My periods are getting longer and longer apart. 60 days, then 71.

I actually missed my Revival yesterday, and woke up hot last night. It wasn't a hot flash, but I was extremely warm all over, and had to kick the covers off and cool off. Result of missed soy? Who knows, but I won't miss it today!

Like you, Mikki, I am looking forward to getting over this peri hump and getting on into the valley of Menopause. I believe the grass will be greener, with some beautiful flowers and butterflies along the way. Just think of all the money we'll save not buying pads and tampons!!! rolleyes.gif
