I've occasionally entertained the idea of accepting donations to defray the rising costs incurred by running Power Surge, but not until all your generous offers to donate to Power Surge to give back to a site that's given you so much convinced me that it's "okay" to accept donations.
SO, hard as it may be to believe, I've actually set it up. Thank you all for encouraging me and making me feel comfortable about doing this, especially in recent posts in the "How Are We Doing" forum. My greatest shortcoming is that I've never been able to ask for help. The donation process is very simple -- just click on the adorable donate lady icon and it will all be explained. Most of all, thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart for any contribution you can make to help keep Power Surge free. ![]() If there's a place to provide your user name on the Paypal form, please do so. That way I'll know who the donation is from. Also, should you decide to contribute via check, please indicate your user name on the check so I'll know who it's from. Dearest, you made the donation process so simple -- just a few clicks -- and voila! It's done! Thank you!!

Hi ladies,
Just think of how much support and love..and comfort we receive each time we come to power surge. This site has become part of my life,a comfortable place to hang my hat...to find my friends..and to comfort me when I'm scared and vulnerable. I know that i can come here any time day or night and power surge will be there waiting with open arms. I know we all have different financial situations and its hard sometimes but if everyone just gives a little allot can be saved. hugs, Lynda -------------------- May you dream in color

Can anyone tell me how I can make a donation in pound sterling as I live in the UK. I tried to enter the amount, just substituting the dollar sign for a pound sign and a message came up saying 'invalid item amount'.

Lydia, according to the PayPal site you can use PayPal to send payments in any of these currencies:
* Canadian Dollar * Euro * Pound Sterling * U.S. Dollar * Yen * Australian Dollar I believe if you choose a US dollar amount, it will automatically convert to whichever of these other currencies you use because it says: QUOTE On the Payment Details page, we will show you the current exchange rate and the equivalent amount in your Primary Currency (generally, U.S. Dollars). When you pay, we will handle the conversion for you. Also from the PayPal site: Will I be able to select the currency in which I want to send a payment? Yes, you can choose to send payments in U.S. Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling, or Yen. If you choose to send a payment in a non-local currency, the funds will be automatically converted to the currency you selected before it is sent to the recipient. Your payment will be converted based on the currency exchange rate at the time of payment. There's a currency converter available here http://www.xe.com/ucc/ if that helps -------------------- |

Hi Dearest,
A little something back for a lot of help received from you and all the P-S sisters via this site you've maintained so devotedly. Thank you so much... -------------------- greensilk

Hi Ladies......
I would like to comment here so this thread does not become forgotten. We need to help Dearest continue to help us. This site means so much to me. Nowhere is there any place like this!! I am in and out of here all day nearly everyday. At night, the insta-chat makes those lonely hours a thing of the past. I get to hang out with my pals and have a few laughs....sometimes way more than a few! Each and every one of you ladies mean something to me. We are all in this together. If everybody would just send in a few bucks it would ensure that we will have this place to come to. We calm our fears here....we get help and we give it. Come on, please! Everybody can afford a few bucks. It doesn't have to be alot. Personally, I do believe I would be quite lost without Power Surge! Thanks ladies |

We need to give back...its the right thing to do..Point blank..It doesn't have to be allot...We are all in different positions financially...Its not the amount that counts its the fact that we're all a part of this community and if we ALL just give a little it will do allot. No one is being judged by how much is given,Thats not what powersurge is about.
