Hi,I'm new here and I have a question for those ladies who are using Testosterone. I am taking Androgel perscribed by my Doc. I rub it on my stomach area every other day. I'm taking it for (no sex drive at all) How long before I will notice anything? I've been taking it for two weeks. I'm also taking a low dose of Paxil (10 mg) once a day for hot flashes. Can't take HRT because of breast cancer im my immediate family. Also I had a Hysterectomy in 1976 but still have my ovaries. I'm 53 years old. Help!

I'd love to see a response to Marijane. Like her, my libido is non existent due to prescription drug; in my case blood pressure medicine. I'm considering using and androgel and am wondering if anyone has had any success with it?
Marijane, sorry I'm not helpful to you but I certainly am identifying with your problem.

I don't know about androgel, but the 2% testosterone cream applied to the clitoris really works! And right away!

A prescription - Power Surge's Pete Hueseman - http://www.power-surge.com/asktheexperts/p.../pharmacy.shtml
can help you - I worked with him and my local doctor to get the prescription, though he has a physician you can work through if you don't have a local one.

Is that the sme thing you are using. It's not a cream but a gel. Did you have any problems with swelling or enlargement of your genitilia? i don't want to get deformed from this Rx. Thanks, Ethan's Nana |

I have read that testosterone is converted to estrogen in female body, so it is HRT too. Hopw about siberian ginseng or maca, natural libido boosters. I also stamble across Provestra, herbal libido booster: Ingredients Maca, Red Raspberry Leaf, Red Clover, Cayenne Pepper, Licorice Root, Damiana Leaf, Valerian Root, Ginger Root, Black Cohosh Root. I have tried testosterone for fatigue, and it made me very angry and gave me acne, but I don't think it made difference in my libido.
