Just put on a "combipatch" on Monday ... don't know if it will work, but I am praying that it will. I have not had a good night's sleep since my last period (Sept. 5th 2003) - even with Ambien (started also Monday night) I am only getting about 4 hours of "good" sleep. Just need some one to tell me I am doing the right thing. I have all sorts of family history of stroke and heart disease but I CANNOT deal with my menopausal symptoms. I was on herbal menopause remidies ("Hotflash", soy and wild yam) but it did NO good.
Thanks for being here.

I think you are doing the right thing. I had insomnia for 6 months and was starting hot flashes at night and nothing else worked. I went on a patch in June and it helped. My gyno did up the dosage one notch and Aug because the symptoms started to reappear but it has definitely helped. As my gyno explained it, you have to weigh the risks against the current quality of life and I had no life without HRT. Good luck!
