Thanks babes.......yep, see how we go......don't want to get too excited yet but it is good to have hope!
Denni, this HRT is called Livial.......it does not have the same "punch" as conventional HRT which I believe can be beneficial when in actual menopause......and of course everyone is different. I tried a menopausal HRT and I felt like my head was going to blow off!(huge spike in blood pressure). And the reason this is different is that it is not true oestrogen. It is an oestrogen mimicking molecule with progesterone. It is not a contraceptive pill. Please bring it up with your doctor. It seems especially good if you suffer oestrogen dominance, or you have a history of breast cancer in the family, which is why my gynea wanted me to try it. I still need to observe the 3 year rule, as pointed out by my mothers breast surgeon. I should come off HRT after 3 years for a break....... Take care everyone and thanks for your support......may your days move with stillness.... Big Hugs, Michah -------------------- What the hell is going on?

Hugs, Michah Hey Michah, Glad to hear you are doing good on Tibolone or Livial, I have read it mimics all three ovarian hormones, E, P, and T, sounds like best thing next to sliced bread, and does not stimulate endometrium. Please, keep us updated on this medication, I am always interested to see what works for this misery. I am not sure if it is available in US, I know it is widely used in European countries. Best wishes, I. -------------------- I feel like there is a party going inside me ...but I am not invited

Thanks Iradan.......thanks for bringing the T to my attention.....I did not know......haven't done much research.....sick of it As far as I can see it is not available in the US and it should be! You can buy it online though......so I guess if you got an understanding doc, they can support you through trying it..... Yep, I will be interested to see if the few side-effects I am having settle down....... Cheers, Michah -------------------- What the hell is going on?

I am glad that side effects settled down, great. I have read about this medication on European websites, most suggest this to be used my post menopausal women, not sure why. I sort of gave up the thought of using HRT for now.... good to know there is possibility of hope post meno. I know it can be bought on line, once my periods stop, I will see if I am a bit better, if not, hopefully this med will be approved in US as welll. Hi Iradan, Yeah I read the same thing.......and I have not stopped cycling......they are erratic, but still there. So I have heard that it can stop periods all together......not that I am complaining with all the endo and adeno and gosh knows, but yep, I will be talking to my doc about it tomorrow. Both my GP and my gynea know I am still getting periods, but maybe they weighed up the potential benefits against the potential problems.......see what they say....... Thanks babe, Michah -------------------- What the hell is going on?
