Does this effect you. I have been doing really well. But today it very hot and muggy and I feel awful. Tight chest and that uh oh feeling. was just wondering if anyone else experiences this?

By the way my daughters wedding was a success. I did not have any issues. surprisingly. Did not need my lorazapam even with very little sleep. But my daughter was beautiful. it rained lightly.....but it added to her wedding. she got married outside.

thanks

Hi there!

I cannot tolerate anything over 25 degrees here. Not sure where you are but in Canada here. The humidity almost flattens me. Went out today and had to stand in it for less than 5 minutes. Literally thought I might pass out. And its such a hoot when the hot flash hits at the same time. I have been hiding in the apartment as much as possible with the air pointed in my direction. lol.
Your daughter's wedding sounds like it was lovely........

Loved the heat in my teens, but hate it now. The humidity is brutal to deal with. I will take the fall and winter any day.

The heat and humidity bothers me a lot. I find that it brings on hot flashes. Also when I walk out of my 78 degree house into the 104 degree heat outside, my eyeballs literally fog up!!!

I did not realize Maine got so hot this early in the summer.

I am glad that your daughter's wedding went well and that you got through with flying colors.
Hugs to you,
Jeaninne

Lord yes. Heat + humidity + outdoor job + peri = MISERY. Even as bad as summer is here in Southeast Texas, this one is worse. We are 10 degrees over normal for June and 6 inches behind in rainfall. I'm dying from the heat. Don't know how I stood laying out in this getting a suntan years ago. I HATE summer now. Always look forward to the first cold front of the year. Only Only 12 weeks away...sigh....

Dear 'DanaRae'
Many warm congratulations on the wedding of your beautiful daughter.May she and her husband enjoy a long and happy life together.
Come to The Middle East and I will give you hot and muggy. It is sometimes unbearable and does not suit me at all so know that 'uh oh' feeling only too well.
When I was younger loved the sunshine. Now I prefer to be out of it.We have air-conditioning but much prefer a more temperate climate.

Warm Wishes
Elizabeth

The heat and humidity also intensifies everything for me. I love the sunshine, but cannot take the heat now especially with the hot flashes coming so regularly. I also retain fluids in the humidity. Wish I had access to a pool somewhere. Glad all went well with the wedding.

I hate the extreme heat and humidity....too much and it gives me a weird 'thick' head.

I have to wear a hat and can only stand about half an hour at a time in temps above 80f (26c?).....today it is 92f.

I used to love being out in the sun and sunbathing!!...not anymore

BUT, I have low D3, so must try and get half an hour in the a.m. or late p.m......and I supplement with 8,000iu too.

Its been averaging about 102-103 F here in North Texas for the last week and a half; supposed to be 104 tomorrow. But hey! We have a cold front (weatherman's words, not mine) coming through Saturday night -- only supposed to be 96 on Sunday! Thankfully we don't have the humidity to go along with it, but as someone mentioned earlier, leaving your somewhat cooler house and having that heat just hit you is wretched sometimes. And while it seems to have started earlier that usual this year, I know that's not the case, it just seems that way as one gets older. Our all-time record here is 117 F, back in 1980. Someday I'd like to head to a cooler clime (think retirement), though Texas is my home state.

Here in upstate NY, it's been a cool (60s - low 70s) with low humidity for the start the summer (May- June) and I have absolutely loved it....that would be my paradise if the weathe was this year round biggrin.gif

Now we're getting some of the rain/humidity the last week or so and it just melts me and I hate that "maple syrup all over everything" feeling......ughhhhh mad.gif

How anyone lives in the southeast when the temps hit 100 and the humidity to match; I would be a miserable person and I don't care for the non-stop AC so that would add to it ........

The humidity really bothers me too. I have always been like that. When I was younger, my hair would get soaked with sweat. Now I can get sick to my stomach when it is hot and humid and like everyone else was saying about the hot flashes too. It really makes it hard.

I'm glad you posted this.

Heat never really bothered me much in the past. If it edged over 82 degrees or so, I wasn't very happy but I coped.

Now I can't even stand it when it hits 75 degrees. And the humidity? Forget it! That's all we have here in Connecticut!

I was sweating so much today I scared myself. Naturally, I start sweating and quickly shift into panic mode thinking all sorts of horrible things.

Ice packs sound like a good idea.

It's just a matter of getting used to it. We here in Texas say the same thing about y'all in the north during the subzero temps and feet of snow in the winter.

People think Texas is dry, but that's only West Texas. Eastern Texas is considered subtropical. It rains a lot (avg 45 inches a year), and the humidity can get outrageous sometimes. You haven't lived until you've endured 95 degrees with about 80% humidity. I HATE it when it's like this. But the thing is...even though I LOVE those fall and spring days when the temps are in the 70s and the humidity drops to about 25%, it doesn't feel "right". I guess I'm so used to breathing with my gills that drier air makes me feel kinda parched.

There are some good things about climate like this...It's very green all the time here, and I just turned 49 years old and don't have any wrinkles to speak of. Moisture has its advantages.
