I am on bcp to make my symptoms livable.I have never missed a pill.I have sometimes taken one a little late, maybe by an hour. The past few days I have felt pregnant-that is the only way to describe it.I have been tired,a little quesey, emotional and my breasts feel a bit swollen and tender.I know all of these are peri symptoms but it feels different somehow?Boy that sounds crazy-anyway,my period is not due for two weeks,so I am not going to take a test unless I miss it.Has anyone else thought they were pregnant?I mean I am only 33 so there is a chance I guess. But I just never thought I would get pregnant now. Please tell me I am not silly.GOD-bless

Of course, you are much younger and it's more likely from an age standpoint, but yes a couple of months ago I actually had every pregnancy symptom I'd ever had when actually pregnant. I was nauseated most of the time, breasts were swollen and very painful, belly started to get bloated (yes girls, more than usual), lower back ached, no period for two months after years of clockwork timing, yadda yadda yadda. I became absolutley convinced that I was despite my age when I started having what felt like Braxton Hicks contractions. Scared the living H*** out of me! Given what's happening in my life right now, I'd take a pregnancy any day of the week. I would kill to be able to trade my present problem with a baby, even at this age. Anyway, I digress...if you think there is a chance wait just a little bit longer and take a home pregnancy test. Run it twice if you feel the need (they come in twin packs for this purpose). Would a baby be a bad thing for you at this point? If not, be happy. Baby's are gifts from God! |

Yep...scared to death I might be now. I switched pills 2 months ago and although I didn't miss any I get these moments of panic due to how I'm feeling that maybe these new pills aren't working as far as preventing pregnancy. I'm touchy, but not moody like I ws before and my boobs feel huge compared to before...my midsection is bloated, but not extremely and if I get to nervous or upset about something I get gaggy. I think alot of it is because my husband wants another child and I don't so it's more anxiety due to fear. My first period on my new pills was hardly a period at all so that certainly didn't help with the fear. I'm due to start my period again next week and we'll see what that one is like, if it's like the last one then I'll take a test. I'm concerned too though that if I am pregnant and don't know it and I'm continuing to take my pill what damage am I doing to the baby. I honestly don't think I am, I seriously think it's all side effects of these new pills and just peri in and of itself.

I know, that is my worry, that if I was I would be hurting the baby, but I have read that bcp usually do not harm a baby, especially the newer ones.I will take a test if my period is not much in two weeks, unless I get to the point where I cannot stand thinking about it anymore.I would love the baby, but this is not something I would have planned for sure.GOD-bless -------------------- GOD is my strength

I'm going with side effects and peri til I get a significant reason to think otherwise -------------------- "This too shall pass" ~ My Mom
