I am 32 years old and definitely going through perimenopause. I have been to the doctor and I am on HRT, certain vitamins, prozac, ambien CR and allergy meds because of all this. I am tired of seeing the doctor so I am wondering does anyone have any swelling in their feet. I don't have it in both feet. It is in my left ankle. When I was pregnant 6 years ago, this same ankle stayed swolen my entire pregnancy but the other one didn't. I went for an ultrasound on it back then and the doctor said no clotting.

Is it normal to have swelling in your feet?

Yes I do. If I wear socks this time of year I have dents in my legs when I take them off. I sit 8hrs a day at work too.

Swelling is definitely hormone related, but since you are on meds and such you may want to consult with your pharmacist to see if it is a side effect of any of those meds.

I, too, have a sit down job. I find that if I get up and move around every hour or so the swelling isn't as bad. While I'm sitting I also do some leg stretches and tap my feet to keep the circulation going.

I do have some swelling. I'm like Fried, if I wear socks, I get dents in my legs. I've just noticed this in the last couple months.
