Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post another question here since this peri stuff is new and hard to grasp as being the culprit of everything...

What is the longest amount of time your period has lasted...how many days have you bled?

I have been bleeding 8 days now which is new for me, especially after just having had a period on May 12....I am really struggling with all of this peri stuff, it is extremely hard to understand something that has absolutely no rhyme or reason and is so very different for everyone. It causes me such stress.

Please help!

Thanks again for tolerating me, I just don't have anyone else to help me.

Hi there,

I don't think there is a given program for peri......as far as I know everyone has different symptoms that come and go which is probably part of the horror of it. I have been having 2 day periods(1st day VERY heavy.....next day, barely anything) for about 3 years, if they come at all. I have gone 2 months without one and then one 3 weeks later. Very "all over the place". Painful(I have endometriosis and adenomyosis), very bad PMS before and AFTER the period. I have about 1 week without PMS if it comes in the month. Sometimes the build up is so bad, that I will end up in tears praying for it to come, because the pain is better than the bloating, nausea, constipation, head stuff and body pain. At least i know when it comes that it will be over. I am hoping HRT will help.

Keep talking sweetie, we are here as many times as you want to say it. biggrin.gif

Dear Tracey
Just reaching out to you.I was fully Menopausal very young so never had the'pleasure' of Peri.
However from what I read on the boards it does seem to be a common issue for many ladies.
So try not to worry too much. You can always discuss the possibility of HRT or BHRT with your Gyno. as this can do a great job in regulating the flow.

All the Best.

For four years now it varies. Some months I have 3-4 day periods and some months 7-8 days. This last one lasted 8 days, the month before it was 4 days. So it definitely changes from month to month with me. Some months I have the breast tenderness before period and some months no tenderness whatsoever. Good luck.
