Anyone have mid -back pain for weeks on end I know i'm probably very close to Meno at 46( no uterus ) since 38 and recently had an ovary removed that had scar tissue,I have almost every symptom of peri w/o hot flashes, sometimes feel warm all over but that's it,This back pain is unrelenting even with Chiro adjustments,it just seems to be related to perimenopause,Any one else experience this when maybe getting closer to menopause? I'm taking bio form of Estrogen because Dr.tested hormones and said the E was low normal...any thoughts from experienced powersurgers:))
Thanks Cari~~ |

Hi Cari:
I have alot of back in the middle and up towards my shoulders. I did not think about it being related to peri but I would not be surprised because we carry around so much anxiety and tension waiting for the next change in the next second. Check with your doctor though just to be sure. Hugs to you, Jeaninne -------------------- Hugs to all,

I also have been having pain at the tops of my shoulders and neck. I think I'm making it worse b/c I am so worried about it. I never used to get anxious about my health but with this pain, my mind runs wild with different diagnoses. I'm trying really hard to relax so that it will go away. I don't know if this is related to peri or poor posture or maybe a combo of both. I'm 38 and my periods have been pretty regular in the the last few months after having an endometrial ablation. Two months ago it came a week early which was very surprising.
I really don't want to go to the doctor for this neck pain. I just wish I knew how to get it to go away! I also just in the last couple of days have gotten a burning skin feeling on my back. I'm chalking it up to anxiety. oye... |

i've had mid-back pain for a while now, probably for a couple of months. went to the doctor, thinking it was kidney trouble, they took a urine specimen and it came back fine. he told me he thought is was most likely a muscle issue. i still have it, although it comes and goes. don't quite know what to think at this point.

But since anxiety can be peri-related...well, there you go. I've had times where some pain in my arm or back or chest started freaking me out, then I remembered I had done some heavy lifting the day before. Any other time, I wouldn't have given the pain a second thought. But for some reason, this health anxiety forgets all the good reasons I may be hurting and just concentrates on the crazy ones. -------------------- Webalina

It all started in conjunction with my other peri symptoms. My pain is NOT upper back or shoulders as much as right in the middle. I am married to a wonderful chiropractor and adjustments are the only thing that bring me any relief! My husband will also massage my back which helps tremendously. I've notice that the pains are worse at different times of the month. I've also noticed that certain foods I am allergic to will bring on abdominal pain and corresponding mid-back pain. As far as hot flashes, I get warm or cold suddenly and my face gets red, but no huge hot flashes either. |

Oh,I promise to be on my best behaviour! P.S. I too believe that many back and upper shoulder pain can be related to high levels of stress and anxiety... Warm Wishes Elizabeth |
