Hi everyone,

Hope you all are feeling well this holiday weekend. I have a new symptom, not sure if it's peri related, a virus, or something scarier.

My neck is sore - not as in muscular aches, but the skin is sore on the right side...feels like a sunburn but it is not - haven't been in the sun. Skin feels a little warm to me, but could just be me. Skin is not red, no discoloration, just hurts - soreness. Anyone else experience this? I know I'm a natural basketcase, but I automatically think the worst...why is this all happening to me?

Please please let me know if any of you have had this....my anxiety has been really bad, heart palps and arythmias, so of course, this latest is not happening. Will try a Xanax to see if I calm down.

Thank you in advance,
Tracey

Dear Tracey
Not too worry.Am sure this is a Hormonal related symptom.Have had it on the back of my neck and it feels just like a sunburn which I know it isn't because I live in avery hot country and never go out in the sun.It does eventually go away.
I think the 'Basket'is large enough to hold all of us!

Warm Wishes

Elizabeth,

That is exactly where mine is hurting, on the back on the right side. It just bothers me because its so sore. Not sure if this matters or is related, but right before this started my chest looked red like a sunburn, my mom even commented about it, looked like I had been outside, but I had not. I sure hope this is all hormonal, my mind is racing. Took a xanax so I actually slept. I'm hoping and praying that this goes away soon but it will only be replaced by something else.

Thank you for your response...have a great weekend.
Tracey

Hi sadiej,

Thanks for your response. I have had skin soreness on my scalp before, to the point that it hurt to brush my hair, went away after a day or two. But this is new...just causes me so much worry. Sorry that you have experienced all of this crazy stuff too. Hope you're doing well now.

Take care,
Tracey

Hi TDF770, hi the only thing I can relate to that feeling, is my valium withdrawal. Do you take alot of Xanax? these are benzodiazepine drugs.

Hi,

No, I really don't take the xanax as I should. My dr will no longer write a script for it as he feels it's just a band-aid to the real problem...so what I have left is it for me...I reserve it for panic attacks and extreme anxiety only...otherwise, I try to rid the anxiety with diet and exercise.

Hope you're doing well today. Enjoy the holiday.

Thanks,
Tracey

Have also had the sore skin thing on my left arm, even my sleeve was hurting me. Am sure it is hormone related. You may find this hard to believe but on a friend's recommendation, tried moisturiser, she said it is because your skin is dry, even to me it did not feel dry, it felt tender. It even hurt the first time I put the moistureser on but it worked a treat. It only took two times to settle it down. Hope this help. Like a lot of peri things it doesn't make sense. But is worth a try.
