I am 48 years old and due to another illness MAV have lost a lot of weight over the last six months about 50 pounds . I am small 5'1 and weighed about 154 when this started and now I weigh around 106.
Over the last month or so I have started only at night having a sweating just on my chest under the breast area that wakes me up every night. I do not have any other hot flashes during the day or during the night. Can this be a hot flash or something else all together? -------------------- Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.

Hi timeless! It sounds like a "night sweat" to me. Everyone experiences these things differently, mind you! I was fortunate in the fact I didn't get the night sweats too bad at all. I would wake up feeling boiling hot and throwing the covers off myself several times during the night, but not once have I ever woken up soaked in sweat as some others have. I have never had to change jammies. I figure I have hot flashes during the night, but not the sweats.
I sleep with a window open at all times now, even in the dead of the Canadian winter!!! And BHRT has tamed the hot flashes down to almost nil. Although....summer is coming and I am kind of nervous that the hot flashes will return with the heat.... -------------------- Is there anything better than the love of a dog? Enjoy life. |
