hi ladies,
i am curious if any of you guys are having this problem... getting urine to pass and is it possibly another one of these peri symptoms? sometimes i get up at night (a few times )to pee, and can't. very frustrating. then after about an hour or so, i can pee. also if i run the faucet it makes it a little easier, and i have this sensation of always wanting to go only i don't. i don't have a uti either so this is weird to me. please let me know if any of you are going thru this. also, i will be seeing a female gyno next monday,so i will be sure to mention this to her. she specializes in menopause so her ad says so i can only hope i have finally hit the jackpot with a good doctor. take care ladies and be well. shirley |

Okay. Sometimes I think the bladder gets so full you can't pee, but I have also had the problem of not being able to pee at all, and I had to go to the doctor to get stretched. I don't think this is necessarily menopause-related, but I certainly would tell the doctor about it. The doctor told me not to hold it in for long periods of time, because that's what does you in. Good luck!

I haven't spoken to the doctor about it. I guess it's been more of an inconvenience than a problem. Come back and let us know what the Dr. says. I want to know too!! -------------------- Leanne

I finally figured out that this often happens to me for a few days right after a period ends. It is always at night. Strangely, I have the exact opposite problem right before my period of having to go every 20 minutes.
