I have had a recurring sometimes monthly rash that is red & itchy right in my groin both sides between my legs. If I put baby powder on it it goes away. Any moister at all makes it worse. I have no vaginal discharge or itching at all. Could it be a skin yeast infection ?

If it was a yeast infection, I'm not sure that baby powder alone would take it away. Sometimes in very hot weather I've developed the odd brown patch in the pubic area - I imagine because hot, moist conditions are ideal for the development of these things. Canestan cream, which is designed to combat yeast type thigns, takes it away fairly rapidly.

I don't know, but I get the same thing. I put penaten cream on it and tea tree oil.

I'm a huge fan of Caldescene powder whenever I have a rash. It usually helps, but it does sting when you first put it on. I used it for my son's diaper rash when he was a baby and always found it helpful.
I do have a "regimen" though if the Caldescene doesn't do the trick on a rash. I usually try some over the counter hyrdrocortosone cream, and if that doesn't help, I try some anti-fungal cream. Most rashes I've developed in body creases do respond to one of those two creams. As I've aged I also seem to have more problems with little eczema pathes and hydrocortosone works just fine for those. -------------------- Dawn
