Ok...I haven't had a period since Dec 18...since then I've had my most intense hot flashes and night sweats yet! However, just in the last week, they've diminished to anything barely noticeable. Maybe just a slight warming sensation for a couple of seconds then POOF, its gone. I'm sleeping well and I can wear sweaters again! So I'm thinking a period is probably going to start...right? Is this usually what happens? Last year, I missed 3 cycles in a row...went to my dr, and he said "that means your period is going to start"..and 10 days later it did.
Today, I also noticed some ovulation signs........
Can I have that (ovulation discharge), and NOT get a period? Can hot flashes suddenly stop, yet NO period starts??
I am almost 55....WHEN is this gonna END?? mad.gif

During peri, the sudden lack of hot flashes did signal a period coming for me. So it is certainly possible.

It is also possible not to get a period, and still have the hot flashes stop for awhile. It seems to go in cycles. I take BHRT and I still have periods of time where I get more flashes and others times when I get none. I think our natural hormones continue to fluctuation, even during post menopause. My best advice.....enjoy wearing the sweaters, as I am sure that will pass!!! biggrin.gif

Dear'loracear'
Welcome.I am 57 and on HRT but like Floater I will get some hot flashes and some slight spotting or bleeding

It used to really scare me but was checked many times and was told that all these Hormonal Fluctuations are perfectly normal in Menopausal women whether or not they are supplementin hormonally

So try to relax my friend
It does eventually all get better but I know how tiring the ride can be

God Bless
Elizabeth
