I have mentioned in previous posts about my eyes seem to be getting worst. Had my eyes tested the other day, prescription has not changed in 12 months. Just seem to have the blurs and the floaters. I have all the works in my lenses multi vision etc etc. Which all adds up to the cost of a pair of specs.. I guess we are all in that club...

Hi, and I'm new to this site, hope I'm doing this right?!?!?!? Probably very late in responding to this post. I was a very healthy, happy, energetic gal up until age 45, then I started with horrible dizziness, wooziness, out of balance feeling that brought on anxiety and panic attacks. No one in my family experienced dizziness with hormone changes, so I just thought maybe I had a brain tumor or was losing my mind. Went for all the test, MRI's, CAT scans, etc. They found nothing. Im also hearing impaired and suffer from tinnitus which makes what I'm guessing what I'm now going through is PERIMENOPAUSE more of a real challenge.
But of course not only did I get the dizziness, out of balance problems, I noticed alot of vision problems, started developing presbyopia (close up vision changes) about this same time and finding focusing between close up and distance a real problem. Even worse when wearing contact lenses. I do get floaters from time to time, but they are the least of my problems. I now wear sunglasses all the time, can't seem to tolerate light or glare anymore. |

Hi Lady E,
I noticed you were from TN as well. I am new here and you can read my first post under "Am I Losing My Mind?" Anyway, yes I have had trouble w/ my eyes too. Mostly horrible blurry vision that comes and goes and the feeling that I cannot focus sometimes. Also little "floaters" every now and then. I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and this is supposed to mess up your vision too. Have you had your thyroid checked? Eye trouble is just another thing to add to my health anxiety. Not only has my far vision gotten worse, but my close up vision has as well. May we all find some type of peace from all this soon. mood_swinger -------------------- ~~My hormones are calling the shots right now...I'm just along for the ride.~~

I am just outside of Nashville. I have worn glasses since I was 10. Recently have had vision changes and yes, it adds to my already health anxiety. I have hashimoto's, too. Pam |

I have also had vision changes since peri. Rumour has it that eye exercises can fix your vision. I am skeptical but they do help with tired eyes....A LOT. Google eye exercises and try some of the ones that are supposed to improve your vision, if nothing else they will take care of the tired eyes.

I have actually often taken to wearing my sunglasses to use the computer. Looks really silly but reduces the glare effect!!
