I notice it is becoming more frequent, now.
I get the "signal" I need to go to the bathroom and everything is fine until I'm right there at the toilet trying to pull down my various garments--that's when the wild urge hits me. Sometimes I leak and sometimes I don't, but i can't understand why the urgency waits until I'm just about to take my seat. I don't really want to take meds because of the side effects. Anyone ever used alternative medicine like acupuncture or herbs for this annoying affliction? -------------------- I am Menopausa, PeriMeno Warrior Princess!

Booky - my SIL stuggled with this for a couple of years - she finally conquered the problem with kegel excercises and taking her Doc's advice which was trying to 'hold it' for a short time every chance she got - it took time but either she 'strengthened her muscles there or it just passed....I will check with her and get back to you - I do know that as annoying as this is it is not uncommon at all!

Crazy...do post what you find out from your SIL.
This comes and goes for me. The other day after Christmas shopping, I was unloading presents and the urge hit me. I had bent over trying to pick up a package I had dropped and knew I could not stand up. Houston we have a problem.  So there I am checking out the driveway for any new cracks that might have developed or searching for the back to my earring which I had not lost (in other words, trying to be inconspicuous), waiting for the urge to pass. Seemed like 5 minutes before I could make my way to the house. Whew!Bella |

I have this problem too and have had for about a year, while i don't have incontinence i do leak urine to the point where i have to wear thin pads or pantyliners. And i check myself constantly.
Hmm...maybe i'll start doing the kegels & see what happens. -------------------- April
