I am soon to be 47 (yeah...maybe) and for the past year, the week before my "period" (which is usuall just 5 days of spotting) my vulva starts to burn. It's like my normal discharge which is ok the other 3 weeks, is now lava or something! It feels like acid and my skin is being eaten away. My vulva gets dry and sticky too. I've tried all the creams, lotions, potions. My gyno gave me Vagifem (not working). He has tested me for infections and nothing shows up. My pH has been as high as 7 though at times. I use RepHresh (Replens has an ingredient I can't tolerate) to keep my pH in check but that fails the week before my period. It's like NOTHING can touch this! I've even done boric acid inserts.
Anyone else experience this? I wish they could find an infection and then I could get some treatment. Sad, I know but without any treatment I have a week of misery every 3 weeks. It's wearing! (and the night sweats don't help either). -------------------- "I'm so Old I can Laugh, Cough, Sneeze, Toot, and Pee --- All at the Same Time"
