Last night I went to a Pilates class. Everyone says Pilates/Yoga good for this, right? I admit I am somewhat out of shape. Started walking at lunch time about two weeks ago everyday. This was my 2nd pilates class. As i was doing the routine, i did start to feel hot but just chalked that up to a flash and excertion. I came home, got ready for bed, made some Sleepy Time Extra tea and watched tv until about 9:30p or so. I did have somewhat of an uneasy feeling, but nothing major. I went to bed and not sure what time it was, but woke up with an episode, usually describe as the anxiety flash. It didn't last very long, and went right back to sleep until 4am when has been my normal wake up time now.
I thought the Pilates would relax the situation. -------------------- 41 AND NEW TO PERI!

Lady: that's so funny, I had to the same thing happen to me last night...an panic 'flash' in my sleep; it made me wake straight up out of a deep sleep (which I don't get easily), gasping for air, and my heart was pounding.
Maybe it's just hormones, and not related to the Pilates??? |

I think both. Because while I was doing the Pilates, my head started burning and my throat real dry from the breathing. I think i was focusing on that too much.
