Hi guys,

The past two days, my hands were very hot, hen they started itching. Today, however, is a different story. I am itchy all over. When I woke up,I was sooo itchy, all over, the day went on and I was fine all day, now, around 9:00 I sat down to relax and it started again. It is so annoying. I just took a benydryl. I hope it works. I am wondering if the allergy season makes it worse, or, I know my hormones may be doing it. My ob just got back my new hormones results and he said, oh, yeah, you are well on your way. He said to stay on bcps for 9 more months and then we'll talk about hrt of some sort. I guess I am out of whack. When I was pregnant with my last child a million years ago, I was itchy all over for 3 months, and the minute she was born, it stopped. So, I a trying not to think I have an awful disease, it's just that, as my mom would day "your hors are moaning!!!"

Dear 'enough'
Loved your Mum's comment!Bless her and she is right. The itching is awful as if there are things crawling under your skin.My scalp is the worst.Always making my daughter and husband checking for lice!Nothing.I think anxiety plays a part plus the skin is very sensitive during the Change.

So no dreadful diseases, dear friend.Just another fun symptom.I use benydryl and it helps a little.

All the best
Elizabeth

Thanks, I did do benyrdyl last night before bed and slept like a baby. Maybe it's a ogood thing in the long run. Today, so far, the itching is much better.
Have a good day. Joan

The itching thing has got to be hormonally related....ever since this meno-hell started, my skin itches all the time. Sometimes I just can't get comfortable at night because ever five minutes something new itches.

i'm brand new to this, so hope i'm doing this right...I started experiencing crawly, itchy skin approx. a year ago, for about 4 day..then every 3 months or so it would start again...so in the last year i've had 4 or 5 bouts...this last one's lasted a week...went to the doctor who said it was a symptom of a chronic illness i have, but after asking the specialist, he said it wasn't...i itcy EVERYWHERE...have tried every lotion there is...then i started researching on-line and found this website...i am post-menopausal for 3 years and had few negative symptoms until this started...i scratch all the time unless i'm busy at work, but as soon as i get home it's worse and all night long....now at least i know i'm not alone and will go back to the doctor to educated him....thanks alot everyone for the insight

Dear Enough:
Why wait for 9 months before getting real help with the natural bioidentical hormones from a compounding Pharmacy. If these problems occur while on the BCP, then we can help you. The allergy season could make it worse, if you have had allergy problems in the past, but it could also be from the lack of hormones.

Sincerely,
Pete Hueseman, R.Ph., P.D.
