HI guys,
I started using Seasonique last July and at times the breakthrough bleeding was annoying but after a few months it was better. It seems around the beginning of the 10th week out of 14, I start bleeding again, cramps, the whole nice yards. Only one pad a day, but still, annoying. My gyn wants to do a hormone workup to see if I need a different pill. I read alot of blogs about this pill and it seems very common for up to 19% of people to still bleed in between even a year or two later. Is anyone else on this pill and do any of you have suggestions? Thanks.

I am not on Seasonique, BUT I do take ORtho Novum 1/35. It worked at first as far as moods, leveling out the spotting etc. But now for the last 8 months I start spotting in week 3 of the pills. Then I will have a period of 3-4 days (light) during the off week.
I have heard that this happens while on bcp, that you may need to change to something stronger/weaker/all together different as our bodies change.
Like you, I find it annoying. I guess that is why they call it "birth control", who wants to have sex while they are spotting or have a period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My guess is they'll want you to switch to something else..............hope this helps...........

You certainly gave me a chuckle. I am hesitant to switch because I know how I feel on this pill, which, for the most part, is fine. The thought of changing and waiting is something I dont' want to do. I guess if all that happens is occasional bleeding how bad can it be? I just have to toughen up.

Thanks and good luck to you.
