Hi, I am just not too sure how to describe the vagina discomforts I am having now. Can I say it is more like pins and needles or tingling sensation? It is hard to describe but it is along this line, I suppose. As I had degenerated disc, my spine doctor told me to get a stationery bike to strengthen my back muscles. Could it be caused by the pressure of the bike saddle on my perineum? I have since stopped using the bike for about 5 days since this discomfort started. Today, even as I leaned against my dressing table , I can feel the discomfort of my vagina against it. I am truly puzzled

Hi Blessy, oh boy, I seem to be loaded with vaginal "sensations"! LOL I started getting a crawling sensation on the lower portion of the vulva area. weird! its as though its getting "the chills" so crazy. I am 56 and am in menopause, but the atrophy is realllly lousy down there. so started estrace cream. It is getting very weird down there lately!! Joyce |

Hi blessy
Yes I can really relate to your post, last year, everything was feeling tight up there, until I stopped using tampons which I think dry out the vagina at this time. I actually think the dryness we experience during Peri effects a lot of areas of our bodies. Sometimes I wish I could just dip my whole body in a vat of olive oil I have also had the strange nerves type sensations in the vagina, even to the extent that some months it felt a little like a vibrating cell phone was down there. I think Joyce is right to call it vaginal anxiety. I have a rule of thumb unless I am seriously worried about a symptom, I leave it for 3 months to see if it improves or morphs into something else to worry about. This has helped me a lot to weather the Peri storm, I am now 42 and hoping to be done by 45. I've given my body the hard word anyway |

blessy
forgot to mention that I do have back issues as well, but I am sure they are not related, but I do visit my chiropractor every 3 months, as I think an adjustment helps with both the period pain, and to balance out my nervous system Hope this is of some comfort! |
