I was put on Seasonique in July to hlep with all the peri symptoms. The anxiety is better, the night sweats are much better, I am sleeping better too. However, the last two weeks I have been getting rolling flashes again. Today, for about an hour they came and went every fifteen minutes. I even took my temp at one point and it ws 99.7! Took a tylenol and in 15 minutes it went down to 99>2. I guessI ws starting to cool down. I doubt the tylenol kicked that quixk, esp. since I started flahsing again soon after. I decided not to obsess over my temp ( whiich I tend to do) and didnt' take it again. I also get the dizzies before the flash. Anyone else experiencing this? I could use some input. I am pretty calm about it, which is a huge surprise, but would like to know if I am alone in this. Thanks for listening.

Hi,
I was on YAZ-- another low-dose oral contraceptive. At first I felt great, but after a few months I started having break through bleeding and nighttime burning up (this would last for hours) and anxiety. After doing some reading and research, I concluded that the YAZ has too little estrogen relative to the progestin. I am now on the Climara patch, oral estradiol, and prometrium (for 12 days of the month) and I feel great. I just finished reading Elizabeth Vliet's book "Screaming to be Heard" and she recommends oc's with no more than .5 mg of progestin. Maybe changing your pill or trying bioidenticals would help?
