Hi Ladies,
I'm 17 mos. post meno and was wondering if things come back in the sexual intimacy dept.? I'm taking some estradiol but wondering if I should just stop all of these hormones and go cold turkey. Only problem is I'm married and intimacy has been a problem. Can't go anywhere. Just peaks then dips then dies. I was told estradiol will help but I'm kind of worried about taking estrogen for too long. Do ost people get off of HRT eventially. Does sensation, etc. return? This is a bummer! I'm 58, of a normal weight and am having some problems with osteopenia, which I just found out about after a DEXA bone scan. I just lost 40 lbs. and wonder if this contributed to my bone loss? Thanks and any help will be greatly appreciated. Ethan's Nana |

Ethan's Nana All I know is it took adding testosterone cream to my Estrace to "bring things back"! Have you checked on that? -------------------- zjsurfer

Me too, zjsurfer! I'm using a compounded testosterone cream 3% - 3mg daily and it sure revs up the libido!! The "O" response is not back to normal yet but I've only been using the estradiol for a little over a week - hoping that will improve in the months to come.

Hi, sorry you didn't get much of a response here....I'm still in peri and my sex drive is MIA. I used to be such a hottie. Some days I think I don't care if I ever have sex again. So strange. My mother says it does come back. We'll see....

Does anyone here use testosterone by pellet, or tablet? Is anyone using estrotest... Im not sure that's what its called, but I'm looking for results other than cream.

I was using Estratest & ended up starting Pellet therapy. My NP said according to my bloodwork the Estrast was not doing anything in my body. She said it was like I was taking nothing.
I started the pellets in Aug., on the 10th. I feel alot better, brain fog cleared up really fast, NP says week 5 & 6 week are peak week. I hear the longer you do pellet therapy the longer you can go between insertions. My NP. monitors her patients really well. I was inserted with 1 & 1/2 of Estrogen & 2 pellets of testosterone. I have lost some more weight since starting pellets also. Once they are inserted they cannot be removed. It would be like hunting for a needle in a haystack! good luck, or from the post date I hope you found what is right for you cruiser Does anyone here use testosterone by pellet, or tablet?
