Hey there everyone,

I know I am not alone in this, but I need to vent! And my heart goes out to everyone else out there who has the palps and the internal shaking!

Help!! I am so MAD!!! mad.gif After being virtually rid of the palps for almost two solid months, they're back!!! They started last September and I had all the heart tests in October and everything came back fine, cardiologist said the palps were the "harmless" kind and were most likely caused from menopause (smart doc, he is!) I started on Premarin (estrogen) exactly two months ago today. Doc said to give the Premarin about a month to start working... Well, I noticed a huge improvement in the way I feel after just one week, and the palps disappeared! UNTIL this past week!!! Other than that, I still feel much better than before the Premarin though. I told my gyn doc last week about the palps, so she increased my Premarin dosage just a wee bit, but it hasn't helped much yet. I am not a patient person! BTW, I have been taking a mag/calcium/zinc supplement right before bed, so I'm going to add more magnesium. I also plan to try either the Natural Calm or Slow Mag. Has anyone else had this happen? Should I be patient a little longer for the upped dose of Premarin to work? Also, I have started having the internal shaking/vibrating thing again, though not as bad as before. I do have lots of anxiety, am taking a very low dose of Xanax, but I swear I don't think that's working any more either!!! As we say here in the South, IT AIN'T FAIR!!! blink.gif

Thanks so much for letting me vent!!!!!

LOVE AND HUGS TO ALL!!

I'm new to the board but I feel like I'm reading about myself. I am just about 5 months post op. In September I had a hysterectomy and an oopharectomy. I wasn't feeling well for about 5 weeks and they discovered after I went to the ER that my blood pressure was low and my potassium levl had dropped due to diarreah and vomiting . Well come to find out Where they cut the uterus off at the intestines had adhered to it and I wasn't abloe to go to the bathroom, just diarreah. After being admitted to the hospital I spent 4 days tring to recoop. On that morning of the 4th day they preformed another surgery fixed what was wrong and also realized that the ovary they left in now had 2 cysts. Needless to sya they removed that one too. I now have had a total hysterectomy. I was on 0.1 Estradiol (transdermal) and started feeling palpitations since then my dr. has taken me off the patch and put me on 2mg Estradiol. I was feeling somewhat better but I still have the palpitations and now experiencing anxiety and panic. I can kind of deal with anxiety and panico but the palpitations are scaring me. Dr. says everything looks normal. This site is really helping me. I have internal shakes really bad too. For the last week I have been experiencing headaches almost a migraine. Any suggestions. I am to the point that I am afraid to eat because I think sweets and that special occassion drink makes it worse. I love Jamba Juice but I am afraid to have it. Do I need more estrogen or less. Another thing I feel at my worst
2-3 hrs after I take my Estadiol. I am considering taking Bio-identical hormones. I am making an appointment with a dr. I spoke with today. Thanks for listening it really helps

Sorry you are feeling so rough. I have had problems with ovarian cysts, you won't have to deal with that any longer. I am going on 10 years with palps off and on, more on than off. My last period was several months ago and the palps have been bad for the last month. My personal opinion is that when my estrogen gets low, the palps get bad. I was on the pill for 9 months (stopped it last fall) due to the ovarian cysts and long, heavy periods and the palps were not too bad. I am sure I had alot of estrogen in my system at that time due to the pill. Now, my body has figured out I am low and it has affected the palps. I would guess that once your estrogen level gets evened it will help the palps. It may take some trial and error to get the HRT at the right spot, but it should help. Good luck

:) Thanks so much much for the feedback. You have the same response as my dad. You need more estrogen. To me 2mg is already a lot. That is why I am going to try Bio identical Hormones. Again Thanks
