I this menopausal journey with such strong emotional and physical problems that I actually thought that I was going crazy. Really crazy. Then with an answer to a pray, I got up early one morning because of lack of sleep, I went to my computer and typed in menopause support groups..and low and behold I found PS. Thank you dearest, It was heaven sent to me. Just like what everyone has said. I am not crazy. These great women have been my support group now for 5 months. When I hear that someone is having the same symptons as me, I cry, because I know that they are real symptons and I will get through it. I was never expecting this meno thing to be hard..I guess I never knew what to expect but thanks to this site I have read so much that has informed me. I feel like I was so prepared when I went to the dr. and asked all the right questions. This is really a tough time. BUt thank you PS and dearest for some of the best information and personnel experiences. They have been heaven sent for me......
Love and hugs

Thank you Dearest for the web site. It's a life saver indeed, a place to talk about things openly and hear other people's life stories. A place where we can realise that we really are Ok, just having a rough ride or that there are places we can go where we can find help if we need it. A big shoulder to cry on if we want. A place to vent frustration and anger at times. The 'big sister' we never had. Thank you all for being there. wub.gif

Hi everyone,
I was referred here from another board, member. I so appreciate the referral. I can't tell you how much I've learned in the past "few" hours from reading this site. I'm in the medical field but until this happens to us I don't think we really ever know the extent of the symptoms and discomfort, both physical and emotional.

Thank you, Dearest, for creating this site.

I just wanted to come in before I call it a night and say BIG THANK YOU to dearest....

I have already learned sooo much from this site, and just having ppl that we can discuss our symptoms with makes a world of difference. Today I printed up many of your articles and have been reading them all after noon since I got home from work.... I am sure you hear all the time, but I will tell you again, what an awesome sight, you are truly a blessing... I hope you know how much you have truly helped so many women... May God greatly bless you...

I actually did something I don't do, and that is I was so appreciative of all the advise and information that I have found on this site that I donated yesterday... The funny thing is that I got a call from Visa making sure it wasn't Credit Card Fraud.... (My moto for 2009 - no more credit card charges... but this site is so valuable to me... I could never thank you enough...

I know I have a lot to learn, and at least now I have the power to so...

Thank you again! Truly words can not express my gratitude!!!!

Dearest and All.

I recently read a question as to how Power Surge has changed your life.

I have been a member for years and that questions always stopped me,
as ll of the example answers applied to my life too:

How often I've heard, "Power Surge saved my sanity." "Power Surge gave me back my life." Power Surge showed me I wasn't losing my mind." "Power Surge has been a lifesaver." "I don't know what I'd have done if I hadn't found Power Surge."

Thank You Dearest.
You'll never truly know how many yo have touched and how much.

Hi Dearest:
The site has helped me, I still have good days and bad days, trying Bioidenticals, ad's. He helps to talk to other women going through the same things. It is very scary at times. I learn so much from the other ladies. I come here when I need advice.
Its my support group.
Thankyou,
Jpie

I feel like I can breathe again. My sisters I cannot speak to, they have despised me for years for still HAVING a period ... they made jokes about sending me WRINKLE cream to make my face older looking ... the last words one sister said to me (she is 3 years older) were "you look far better than you have any right to". Why am I telling you this? Because I have no idea why they feel the need to be cruel to me. I cut them out of my life and I have major trust issues with most women ... but I digress. Finding this site has made me feel human again, I thought I was a FREAK (love that word) having a period from 12 to 53, miss my Mom who died when I was 24, don't talk to sisters, and have a husband who watched me in agony every month ... and now watches me break into a sweat that AIN'T PRETTY and and and .. THANK YOU. On top of major arthitic joint degeneration, which can make you feel a tad sorry for yourself with the pain and having been in a major car accident, and now menopausal hot flashes from hell - I FEEL MUCH BETTER BECAUSE I CAN TALK TO YOU.

I can totally sympathise.

I feel I am in some sort of other world at the moment with hot flushes plus sun sensitivity plus food sensitivity now plus skin crawling plus allergies to things at the moment.

I have felt at the end of my tether over the past 3 weeks and the only thing keeping me going is the thought it might all go one day.

I'm trying the "natural" way but don't know how much longer I can go on without some sort of intervention.

Jackie...............at least the tingling reminds me I'm still alive I suppose so there is that bonus.

Dearest, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting and maintaining this site. Several months ago I stumbled onto Power Surge while looking for information on the possibilities of being pregnant at 54, since I had ALL the symptoms. That little scare worked out well (ie. negative!) but not long after I found the REAL reason I found this site. My husband confessed that he'd been having an affair with a woman he worked with. I was devastated and lost and didn't know where to turn until it struck me...POWER SURGE. I will tell you that I believe with all my heart that I am here today because of the love, support and encouragement from the many, many wonderful and strong women of PS. They held me up until I could hold myself up. I'm doing pretty well now. My husband and I have gone to counseling and have done a lot of hard work and feel like we can make our marriage work. I believe that if it hadn't been for PS none of this would have been possible. It gave me a place to go no matter what hour to find comfort and solace. I didn't always follow the advice given to me but I took it all in and appreciated every bit of it. Now I feel as though I've known some of these women for a very long time and look for them on the message boards just to see what they are up to. I feel protective of those who are having difficult times now and try to repay in some small way what was given to me. I can't thank you enough for Power Surge and I am sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
xoxo

A touchstone, a reply, and a huge thank you - p.s. a place of refuge on the journey. Will say hello to all - it's been a long time - and a word of encouragement ~ hang in there - it does get better!

Oh Susy,
How cruel of your sisters to treat you this way. It sounds like they have some serious issues that they need to work on. I'm sure you're a beautiful person so ignore their remarks, and stay focused on getting through peri/menopause.... Your sisters must live in a very sad world, be proud and happy that you're not like them.
